To move with changes within the business sector in Papua New Guinea, the Investment Promotion Authority has been working on several reforms.
Among these, changes to the Securities Commission, which are aimed at providing more visibility to the public – with legislative changes for the Securities Commission passed by parliament in 2017.
This year, the IPA will be focusing on implementing these legislative changes – in line with Government policies.
Given these legislative changes, work is now underway to prepare for the imminent separation of the Securities Commission from IPA.
