A 7 billion kina loan has been approved by the Chinese government for infrastructure in the country.
The money will be used to rebuild the Highlands highway, Lae roads, Lae port and the construction of Gulf – Southern Highlands highway.
While final arrangements are yet to be finalized in 2 weeks’ time, Prime Minister Peter O’Neill made the announcement this afternoon.
