Tyron Roberts and Korbin Sims from the Australian NRL Newcastle Nights Rugby team were the proud recipients of the Nights Kokoda Spirit Award.
The award itself was initiated by the Newcastle rugby league club.
As part of the award Roberts and Sims will fly into PNG today to walk the 96km trek through the famous Owen Stanley Range for seven days.
The two of the club’s rising stars will be accompanied by former Knights coach Malcolm Reilly, and captain of the 1997 premiership-winning Newcastle team Paul Harragon this Sunday.
