Ipatas:Increasing Human Resource Pool in PNG

Up to 120 ambassadors from Enga Province will attend six months of intensive skills training in Manilla, Philippines.

Ipatas Foundation in collaboration with Orion and Site Group will run this Pilot training in an effort to increasethe human resource pool in Papua New Guinea

 

Chairman of Ipatas Foundation, Isaac Lupari, said K2.5 million will be spent over a 12month period to successfully carry out this sustainable training model. Mr Lupari thanked Governor Ipatas for this initiative and honoredthe confidence of Orion and Site Group.

 

Chief Executive Officer & Managing Director of Site Group, Vernon Wills, said this process will be a long-term endeavour by developing unskilled youths and equippingthem for employment. Governor Ipatas voiced that this training model can be appllied at a greater scale nationwide.

 

Governor Ipatas said this exercise will aid in replacingthe foreign skilled workers with Papua New Guineas. The first batch of trainees will leavPNG’shores on 29’s up>th of June this year.
