Dogura Station in the Alotau District of Milne Bay Province will soon have access to a 24 hour water supply system.
This follows the installation of a new powered bore pump on the outskirts of Dogura Station.
Recently the Alotau MP Charles Abel visited the drilling site to launch the water supply system.
MP Abel said the District Development Authority is working slowly to address drought affected communities in the seven local level governments of Alotau District.
The new water system will benefit four schools, a health centre, church and nearby communities at Dogura.
Speaking prior to commissioning the new water supply system, MP Abel said a separate budget will be passed to ward levels so leaders on ground maintained such projects and stop unecessary expenses.
