“Teachers from Hiri and Rigo Districts of Central Province have fallen victims because of corrupt practices within the Provincial Education Division. So they fronted up at our office and have registered their complaints. Such practice is very unacceptable code of conduct in the public service, “

“Nobody in the Government took PNGTA’s call to conduct the provinces on teachers leave fares. There are millions of kina lost and teachers are suffering,” he said.

The listing which contains ghost names, deceased names and even teachers who are teaching within the same district and are applying for leave fares, and are not entitled to.

“As a result, some teachers who are teaching in Central Province suffer,”

The Central Provincial Government Administration in a statements said teachers leave fares have been completed.

However only Kairuku, Goilala and Abau have been paid as well as surface travelling fares.

“I want to know what has happened to the K1.723 million kina appropriated,”

The National Government has been called on to investigate this this matter that caused inconvenience to most teachers.

“Take the matter serious and investigate,” he said.

It will not be a joyful celebration because these teachers have not received their leave entitlements.
