By Theckla Gunga – EMTV News, Port Moresby

Port Moresby police have apprehended two men as suspects, allegedly involved in an armed robbery at Vision City.

At 11 o’clock today (18 September, 2018), security personnel alerted police officers of the incident at VC’s Big Rooster outlet.

Police arrived soon after and quickly picked up two men believed to be involved.

The city’s biggest shopping mall was temporarily closed down while police tried to identify other suspects through closed circuit television footage.

Those in the shop at the time of the attempted robbery were asked to vacate the shop, while security guards shut down all entrances.

The incident created a traffic jam along Independence Drive, attracting a crowd.

The mall was reopened later in the afternoon.
