Prioritizing education as the second development agenda in his electorate, Usino Bundi Member of Parliament, Anthon Yagama, has started dispersing funds to education institutions around the country.
Usino-Bundi students enrolled at Higher Education institutions in Madang, were the first to receive school fee assistance with a total of five hundred thousand, paid to the relevant school accounts.
These include Divine Word University, PNG Maritime College, Madang Technical College, Madang Teachers College, and Lutheran School of Nursing.
Mr Yagama said, over 570 students will be sponsored across 74 higher education institutions around the country. “I want to see greater improvement for more students to be educated at a higher level, and keep the district or province going forward”, Mr Yagama expressed.
He urged all students to remain calm as processes to attain funds from the Finance and other department is underway, for direct payment and allocation to students.
Mr Yagama arrived today in Port Moresby, to present funds to students at the UPNG, and other higher institutions in NCD this week.
