Welcome to the first episode of a special season that will be highlighting gender based violence prevention and response in Papua New Guinea.
We look at how different organisations are working in addressing family violence. We start with Christian organisation, City Mission and their safe houses for women and children.
And because men play an important role in addressing violence, we speak to founder of Warrior Culture, a performance and training organisation, working with men in redefining their roles, male belief systems, and male masculinity.
We also speak to representatives from the National Department of Health as well as Equal Playing Field, and finally we talk about economic empowerment for women and girls.
