The Highlands Lutheran Seminar in Western Highlands Province held its 37th Graduation today.
A total of 23 Pastors graduated with Certificates in Theology.
New Council members for Lutheran Highlands Seminary Ogelbeng were also commissioned today.
Ogelbang Highlands Lutheran Seminary is one of the three seminaries of the Evangelical Brotherhood Lutheran Church, in Papua New Guinea.
Today, a total of 23 male students graduated with Certificates in Theology after studying at the seminary for five years.
Most of the students who graduated came from other provinces in the Country with their families.
They were encouraged to go where the Church sends them.
Ogelbang Highlands Lutheran Seminary also provides a Diploma in Theology, and courses for women.
Women courses include sewing, bilum making, gardening and how to support Pastors in their missionary.
Pastor’s wives who also attended the course received certificates today.
A total of 19 women graduated under the ‘Wok Meri Program’.
Meanwhile, the seminary has ten new Councils.
They will spearhead the seminar for a term of two years.
They were also commissioned to perform their duties as of today.
