The Papua New Guinea Under 20 women’s national coach, Lisa Cole, arrived in the country today, to begin preparations for next year’s world cup.
Cole, who has worked with women’s football in the United States, brings a wealth of experience working with young women.
Lisa will be in town for three weeks before she takes a break for the festive season.
She plans to design a training schedule once she learns more about the players and will be working in different parts of the country in preparation for the World Cup.
She says she is excited about coaching the U20 national side and with the use of her philosophy ‘teamwork’, she is certain the games will bring about positive changes.
Cole takes over from previous national coach, Garry Philips, and will begin working with the team, almost immediately, with a session confirmed for Sunday.
