In an exclusive interview with the Deputy Secretary for Policy with the Prime Minister’s Department, Trevor Meauri, he said the 2016 leadership summit will be aimed to reveal the progress of development throughout the country.
Meauri said for 2015, only a few districts have been showing the progress of development using their district services improvement program funds (DSIP) while others have either been silently delivering services or have done nothing. And the leadership summit will reveal all of that.
Despite a number of districts not receiving their full DSIPs, Meauri said the National Government is committed to delivering services.
He said the drop in revenue will not change the budget allocated for key development areas in health, education and infrastructure developments for 2016.
