Kite Surfer seeks Backing

Not so popular inthe country, Kite Surfing nevetheless has capturedthe interest from young people in Hula Village inthe Central Province.

A youngster from Hula Benny Kali has been invited to participate inthe AustralianInternational Kite Surfing Race in Townsville come September.

Twenty year old, Benny Kali and his two younger brthers Carl and Beuey are from Hula Village inthe Central Province. These boys have been involved in Kite Surfing for a while and nowthe sport has captured interest from ther youths in Hula.

Benny started kite surfing last year afterthe sport was introduced tothe village in 2006. He was only atthe age of 13 and could remember well howthe sport was played.

Kite Surfing in Hula caughtthe attention of Marvin Beumeister, Australia’s Champion, through Jason Pini’s photo collection of Kite Surfing in Hula that were uploaded onto a Social Network site.

Beumeister was impressed with Benny and invited him to be part ofthe AustralianInternational Championship Kite Surfing race in Townsville this coming September.

Benny was excited withthe opportunity but is faced with financial constraints. He’s appealing to business houses and any individuals for their support to make his dream come true.
