Hela Province Embarks On Large Scale Commercial Agriculture Venture

Hela Province has embarked on getting its people into agriculture, through an ambitious Public Private Partnership.

The project, led by Innovative Agro Industry, aims to have close to five thousand farmers in the three electorates of Tari-Pori, Komo-Magarima, and Koroba-Kopiago, participate in a large scale commercial agriculture project, connecting vegetable farmers to markets.

The partnership signing took place in Moro on Tuesday, with the PNG LNG Project, and MRDC also parties to this agreement.

Phase one of this agreement will see a feasibility study undertaken, as well as the establishment of training facilities, and the finalization of financial arrangements, and commercial venture structure.
