Planning Minister Charles Abel says the government will act on the recommendations of an investigation into the Lae Roads Rehabilitation Project that calls for disciplinary action against senior government officers.
The unpublished report exposes a web of corruption stretching across the departments of finance, Works and the Central Supply and tenders board.
Among other irregularities, the investigation found that officers within the finance department made commitments of over 50 million kina to pay a contractor even before a supplementary budget was handed down by parliament.
