A film crew from Germany arrived yesterday afternoon in Madang to shoot a documentary on flying fox and the traditional saksak dish.
Madang province's icon, the “Flying Fox”, will be featured in a documentary film titled 'Galieo'- a science show, to be filmed by a private TV Company Maximus Film.
The film shooting will take place at Barum village in Transgogl area, South Madang, to start this evening.
Their coming into Madang was approved by the Madang Provincial Government and also the National Film Institute in Goroka.
Provincial Administrator Bernard Lange says the film is cruicial for tourism promotion in Madang province (with flying foxes being it's icon) and PNG as an adventure hub for thrill seeking tourists.
