13 Nepalese Deported after illegal entry

The 13 Nepalese men held atthe Beroko Police cells for illegal entry have been released.

They are to be deported today.

The immigration taskforce which hadthe Nepalese arrested on arrival a few weeks ago have been in touch withInterpol to finalize travel documents.

The Beroko Police station cell block was home tothese thirteen Nepalese men for a month.

Their release followed a court order last Thursday bythe Beroko district court for them to be deported within seven days.

It was a sigh of relief…Ontheir way out,they shook hands with ther inmates andthe police officers on duty.

They were released and interviewed bythe task force team. Final arrangements were made ontheir travel documents and police reports.

The task force team saidthey will become state withnesses to fightthe human smuggling racket intheir country.

Last month,the immigration task force team discovered a human smuggling racket inthe country. Sincethen, more arrests were made.

This includedthe four Beangladeshs andthe thirteen Nepalese, amongthem wastheir agent. The Beangladeshs have all been deported.

The immigration task force team reported thatthe LNG Project attractedthe illegal immigrants intothe country. The team said this isthe beginning of more arrests to be made.
