Western Police told to provide best service

Police inthe Western Province have been told to performtheir duties effectively this year.

Provincial Police CommanderInspector Silva Sika urged his officers not to worry about infrastructure and equipmentshortages as it isthe government’s responsibility.

The PPC told his team that it will be a challenging year, and expectsthe best from each one ofthem.

He congratulated his team for a successful 2012 year of operations, particularlythe general elections.

The police men and women inthe province this year are tasked to achievethe objectives ofthe Police Commissioner’s corporate plan of being contributors tothe growth ofthe force and not become liabilities.

PPC Sika admittedthere is shortage in policing equipment’s and poor infrastructure which weighs heavy on his team in providing effective services for communities alongthe border, in and around mining sit’s as well.

However, he is adamantthey are capable to providethe best service for the province this year.
