After yesterday’s successful conclusion of the ICC Inter-Continental Cup 4 day series, Barramundis’ Captain, Assad Vala, spoke of his success in landing himself 3 centuries in the ICUP competition.
A humbled Vala said, it has always been about the team, and to get his third ton, is a plus to the success of the Barramundis, and not just him alone.
Barramundis’ Captain Assad Vala’s 136 runs in Day 2 of the ICC Inter-Continental Cup which was on Tuesday, makes it his third ton in the ICUP competition.
Vala’s recent century featured eleven boundaries and a six that carried the Barramundis to a successful finish, and remained unbeaten while doing so.
Previously, Vala made 103 runs against Northern Territory Country and scored two half centuries to finish the tournament on a high note.
Vala’s exceptional performance now sets another bar higher for cricket in PNG as the Barramundis continue to take on more competitive opponents.
A humbled Vala said, it is really a team effort as everyone strived to work together and bring their best game to the crease.
