Drama, as Sunam took on Bismark in a tough encounter in the women’s A-grade division.
Sunam had taken a 1-0 lead towards the half time break before Bismark hit one back to level the scores in the second half.
Other women’s results saw Seagulls beat Wanderers 3-0 and Sunam’s B team lose to Bismark 2-0.
In the men’s division, Zogole took a deserved 1-0 lead early on in their encounter against United after a good interchange of passes created space behind United’s defence.
United were able to equalize before Zogole hit back almost immediately to take the lead again.
Rapatona men’s beat Seagulls 2-1 in the other A grade game. That match also proved highly entertaining, with both teams firing early. Seagulls scored first before Rapatona hit back with a double.
The competition has four more rounds remaining before the finals with association secretary Caroline Kahai looking to have players ready by the end of the season for the start of the BSP PNG Games.
