The Port Moresby Cricket Association (POMCA) launched its new logo last evening after decades of its existence.
And along with it, their vision, mission and values.
Speaking to over 50 stakeholders at the launch, Vice President Charles Amini said, the association has grown over the years, the new logo marks a new era for POMCA.
The Association has seen major changes over the past four decades.
From the outdoor T/20 competition, the association extended to the indoor corporate competition in recent years in a partnership with PIH.
Now with the new logo, that embraces aspects of its location, and the sport itself.
It depicts the Lakatoi, cricket stumps and ball, and acronym POMCA written in yellow print, the colour of NCD.
While their vision is to be Papua New Guinea’s model sporting association, POMCA stands on the values of Professionalism, Transparency, as well as being Compliant and action-oriented with all stakeholders, while maintaining integrity, and building networks in communities.
With over 20 stakeholders attached with the association, the new look and the new vision and values are expected to maintain relationships and bring the sport of Cricket in the city to greater heights.
