PNG Power Limited Workers Back to Work

by Bethanie Harriman – EM TV, Lae

Lae based PNG Power workers, that went on a sit-in strike yesterday, have returned to work today after reassurance from the State Enterprise Minster, Ben Micah, that their entitlements will be paid.

Though EM TV News were not permitted to be at a meeting today, where PPL Senior Executives addressed Lae based workers about their outstanding entitlements, Lae based workers say they were told by Lae Management that the submission will include an allocation for their outstanding entitlements.

Lae workers, who spoke anonymously, disclosed information about the meeting that took place this morning.

It’s understood that Ben Micah and his State of Emergency team will make a submission to the National Executive Council for approval.
