Mining Minister Byron Chan says the mining sector continues to be the economic foundation and a stimulant for growth in PNG.
Speaking at the resources sector investment conference in Sydney on Tuesday, he said the government is looking at improving PNG's mining position.
Chan said the government's decision to review existing mining policy and legislations is to ensure there is improvement in the way we do business in mining in PNG.
