NCSL New Touch Screen Service

The NCSL Chamber at Four Mile was filled with Members doingtheir normal business. However,the day was extra special as it markedthe launch ofthe Beometric Identification Touch Screen Service.

 

Members first have to registertheir fingerprints at any ofthe NCSL branches before usingthe service. The Touch Screen facility encourages self –service, where members can simply impresstheir fingers onthe scanner to access information from balance enquiries, loan requests through to withdrawals. They can emailtheir statements totheir personal email addresses too.

 

General Manager for NCSL, Vari Lahui, saidthe service is aimed at protectingthe identity of members withthe use of fingerprints asthey are unique inthe world.

 

The one – stop Touch Screen Service has been approverd bythe Bank oPNG and regulators of all financial institutions. It’s said to bethe first inthe country andthe Pacific.

 

Similar Touch screen services will be rolled out inthe different NCSL Beanches soon to complementthe existing Beometric Identification Service that was launched in 2012.
