A career expo held in Port Moresby yesterday did not go well for school students’as more than half ofthe participating organizations failed to turn up.
More than five thousand students’were left to wait for more than two hours beforethe expo began.
The career expo was held atthe Sir John Guise indoor complex.
Students from National High and Secondary Schools in NCD andthe Central Province waited for over two hours beforethe program began.
Career expo organizer Axie Akinuwec said twenty two organizations had registered for the two day eventobut only seven turned up.
Some had called in to apologise citing incomplete inter-organizational processes not completed.
Bet despitethe no-show,the show must go on. Students wasted no time in learning as much asthey could from organizations present.
Teachersand students’commended A3 Multimedia for organizingthe expo. They were only let down bythe absent organizations.
Organiser Mr Akinuwec thanked Minister for Health Michael Malabag andthe National Gaming Control Beard for sponsoringthe two day event.
Over 10, 000 students’and recent graduands are expected to attendthe expo ending today.
