Marape confident with deficit budget

Finance and Education Minister James Marape also spoke duringthe budget implementation meeting yesterday.

He said withthe K2.6 billion deficit  to be expected this year, K1.6 billion will be sourced internally to finance that deficit.

The ther K1 billion, will be sourced outside ofthe country.

Minister Marape’said; “we go into deficit beatcausethe need of development today far outweighsthe revenue we have; evenue based in 2013 fiscal year, but withinthe context of medium term revenue and long term revenue and asthe treasury team has oulayed to us, we are confident as a government of this sustainable deficit that we are entering to. Thus, we have structured this budget deliberately”.
