Barras Level ODI Series

The Hebou PNG Barramundis, said they would bring their best to the crease after an unsuccessful first match against host, Hong Kong last Friday- they proved it yesterday.

Batting first after winning the toss, the last of their top order, Vani Vagi Morea, was out for 104 runs after the 19th over.

An Assad Vala and Sese Bau partnership added on 78 more runs by the 36th over.

They were all out for 201 after the 45th over.

Though, Skipper Vala said afterwards, the team’s batmanship was not as good as expected, they must improve.

Their bowling was exceptional and that counted for their 14 runs win.

In the second inning, the Hong Kong side was chasing a target of 202 but fell short, as they were all out for 182 after 19 overs.

Tomorrow’s decider will see if the Barras are still able to maintain their winning streak in the ICC World Cricket League.
