Goroka Youths Into Skills Training

Youths inthe country have been urged to utilizetheir potential and contribute meaningfully tothe country.

 

Goroka youths, mostly unemployed, have been kept busy with skills training in areas of screen–printing, music skills, and literacy classes, including cooking and sports, atthe Friendly Youth Centre in Goroka.

 

Their products were on display for the community duringInternational Youth Day held recently in Goroka.

 

Various representatives from NGO groups and Civil Society usedthe opportunity to educate young people about HIV AIDS.

 

Dr Mike Muri, a Medical Doctor atthe Goroka General Hospital toldthe youths thatoself–pity destroys individuals’ dreams;therefore, youths must think positive to be successful in life.

 

The day ended with various item presentations tothe different sporting teams.
