Tests for the Pacific Games venues continued this weekend, with the Taurama Aquatic Centre venue tested today.
The general public was given free entry into the world class complex to watch team PNG athlete’s trial the new venue.
The national volleyball, basketball, swimming, taekwondo and karate teams all took the courts, pool and floor to have a feel of the venue to be used during the Games.
The Taurama Aquatic Centre has a 25 metre warm up pool and a standard 50 metre swimming pool.
The indoor facility boasts 6 courts and can cater up to 1,500 people.
The test today was also used to monitor the movement of the spectator in and out of the venue, as well as the park and ride system which will be used due to restricted parking at the Taurama Aquatic Centre.
