The 14th annual City Mission Charity Golf Dayhas provern worthwhile in its course to raise funds to support boys, children and battered women inthe mission.
This year’s challenge was extra special as it coincided with City Mission’s 20th Anniversary.
The Port Moresby Royal Golf Club was buzzing with enthusiastic Golfers from Business houses who were kind enough to opentheir pursefor such a course giventhe work ofthe City Mission at Haus Ruth at Ela Beach.
There is a need for more services such as what City Mission provides and up to thirty four business entities took part inthe Golf challenge with anther fifty pledgingtheir support intheir own way.
Bank oPNG came in as overall winners ofthe Golf Dayand eventhe team that came last had something to smile about.
All teams walked away with consolation prizes andthe best part wasthey each team hadthe chance to choosetheir own prizes.
Henry Elijah says he has been given a second chance in Life and is thankful to City Mission and all corporate houses that have supportedtheir work.
The City Mission Golf Challenge was hailed a tremendous success, looking back on allthe accomplishments inthe last 20 years.
