Sam Burgess arrived back in Sydney this morning, ready to re-start his rugby league career with the South Sydney Rabbitohs.
Burgess will join his brothers Tom and George after being released from English rugby club, Bath.
He said his return back to league is a permanent one, and he told South Sydney fans that he is back and is ready to play good football. His experience in playing English rugby and in the recent Rugby World Cup has made him a better athlete.
Burgess copped criticism following England’s failed Rugby World Cup campaign, which has played a part in his decision to return to the NRL.
The 26-year-old believes he is better suited to league and he is delighted to be back in Australia to be playing once again for the Rabbitohs.
Many may say his venture to rugby was a failure, but he is proud of his achievements and is thrilled to be back to play rugby league.
