The earthquake in the Highlands Region has also affected banking services, with Bank South Pacific confirming the closure of several branches.
This afternoon, BSP confirmed the closure of its Tari, Komo, Mendi and Moro branches.
Minor damages were experienced at its branches at Porgera, Wabag and Mt Hagen, but these branches remain open.
BSP Sub Branches at Tambul, Pangia, Wapenamanda and Ialibu also remain open.
BSP said its Management and staff are currently assessing the overall damage to our branches and equipment for appropriate repairs to be carried out and the reopening of branches affected.
