Air Niugini has resumed operations to Hoskins airportoWest New Beitain on Thursday 14th March.
This announcement came after workers from New Beitain Palm Oil worked onthe road and bridge leading tothe airport. Most debris that accumulated duringthe recent floods were removerd,the bridge andthe road were also patched up with gravel.
As of yesterday Air Niugini has operated three flights to Hoskins including a special service to cater for the back log of passengers created from two days ago.
Whilst Air Niugini has resumed operations, giventhe current wether pattern,the airline will continue to monitorthe situation on a daily basis and advise accordingly.
