The P2ANJ City of Lae is the new Fokker 100 Air Niugini Aircraft.
Five Boeings, two Fokker 100s and a dashy 300 series have already been upgraded under the Fleet Modernization Retrofit Program.
Passengers who travelled to Buka today were able to experience the memorable flight as improvements have been made to the cabin interior.
The seats are more comfortable with more legroom and larger overhead lockers.
According to General Manager-Commercial Dominique Kaumu, the Buka trip was to inform passengers that Air Niugini will concentrate on both Domestic and International Sector.
The retrofit lifts Air Niugini and Papua New Guinea’s standards in Air Travel. It ensures a much higher standard and comfort for customers travelling on Air Niugini Bird of Paradise services, preparing the National Airline for Competition.
This will enable passengers to enjoy a comfortable flight on the journey to the destinations and will surely want to come back and travel again with Air Niugini.
