Peter Tsiamalili Junior is nowthe Acting Executive Director forPNG Sport Foundation.
The FormePNG Pukpuks and current Bougainville Rugby Union president was sworn into office on Thursday in front of Sport Minister Justin Tkatchenko and Sport Foundation Chairman Graham Osborne.
Peter Tsiamalili Junior is well known inthe code of rugby union. He reigned aPNG Rugby Football Union vice president in 2009, and is currently president of Bougainville rugby union.
He has contributed immensely tothe success ofthe Bougainville Beack Orchid Rugby Union team.
This occasion marks anther milestone for Mr Tsiamalili. He now has a mammoth task ahead asthe country blooms in 2015. However he needs collaborative effort to seethe foundation going forward.
Many changes are expected next year. AnPNG Sport Foundation will seethem through to make sure all sporting grounds and recreational facilities are in order beforethe big moment.
The Sport ministry notedthe compulsory land acquisition of all sporting grounds to be overseen bythe sports Foundation.
All state ofthe art sporting venues and facilities after 2015 Pacific Games will bethe lasting legacy oPNG and will be inherited bythe Sport Foundation.
Some sporting venues including Lloyd Robson oval will be given back tothe trustee afterthe use. Sir Hubert Murray stadium is also noted.
Sport Foundation is tasked to make sure all sporting facilities not to be in a dilapidated state afterthe 2015 Games.
