The PNG Karate–Do Federation is committed to teaching the art of Karate to both athletes and instructors.
A one-day training program was conducted yesterday for instructors by Sensei Trevor Roberts.
It is an indication of preparation for the 2015 Pacific Games, and life after that.
It’s not an easy task to master the art of Karate, but one that requires commitment and determination.
A training program for all Karate instructors was conducted yesterday through the Australian Outreach Sports Program, under the guidance of Sensei Trevor Roberts.
The basics of Kata and Kumite were displayed.
Going forward is nothing but aiming for Gold for Team PNG in the Pacific Games.
But for now, it’s the matter of bringing back the idea and imparts to the athletes, who will be representing their provinces for the 6th PNG Games.
Mr Mari was content to equip, evaluate, and monitor those who have passion, including these instructors to bring the code to the next level in and around the country.
Since 2012, the Australian Government has come on board to support this program.
