Tolukuma Workers Strike

Work atthe Tolukuma Mines stopped on Friday morning when angry workers refused to accept a visit ofthe new General Manager Sarimu Kanu and Petromin representative Linda Brown.

Staff gthered atthe helipad and orderedthe helicopter withthe two on board back to Port Moresby upon its arrival atthe site.

Sincethe resignation ofthe GM last month after Petromin was disbanded, operations atthe mine have been affected.

They called onthe Prime Minister to quickly addresstheir issues for normal operations to continue.
