The Tari people in Hela province have the chance to improve their skills in a newly refurbished court by the 2015 Pacific Games official sponsor, BSP.
Potential Hela team basketball players will make use of the court while waiting for the final selected side for the upcoming 6th PNG Games to be held in Lae, Morobe province.
The court included the installation of new hoops, boards and a new coat of paint. It is also a bonus for Kuluanda Primary school to have the court on their schools as they will fully utilize the facility for their physical education lessons.
Since the establishment of this school, teachers have tried their best to educate the young people from the surrounding community. And sports plays a big part in their education.
The construction of the basketball court will go a long way in ensuring that students from Kupari excel on and off the courts.
