St Charles Lwanga Pioneer Grade 12 Students to Sit National Exams

Over two hundred pioneer grade twelve students from St Charles Lwanga in Port Moresby will be sitting their National Examination today.

They are amongst over twenty thousand grade 12 students in Papua New Guinea who will be sitting the exams.

The Grade 12 National Exams will begin tomorrow and conclude on Friday 20th of October.

For students and at St Charles Lwanga at Gerehu Stage 2, it will be the first time for the students to sit these exams.

The school was established as a Vocational Centre but turned into a Secondary because of the increase in students continuing on to grades 9 and 12.

Like most grade 12 schools in PNG, remedial lessons began in term three for these students.

School Principal, Brother Jaymon Mathew explained that this was the lot that topped the country when they sat the Grade 10 National Exams in 2015.

Morgan Morgan was the head boy when the school transitioned from a High School to a Secondary in 2016.

Morgan said the students are doing their best in preparing for the National Exams and knows that there is a high expectation from them to score good marks in the exams.
