A farming workshop at the National Agriculture Research Institute in Lae has brought together participants from all over the Pacific and PNG.
The premise behind the workshop is to give female farmers of PNG the opportunity to engage with fellow women in agriculture.
Women in Agriculture representatives said the organisations influence has reached out to the islands, as well as to some of the most isolated parts of the country.
The workshop has brought together the skills of various scientists and farmers from a number of specialised areas.
One of the organisations behind this meet is the Women in Agriculture – previously a small organisation – it has now grown to a membership of several hundreds, as well as partners throughout the Pacific.
