The PNG under 16 and the Prime Minister’s 13 team were out for their second training session at the National Football Stadium this afternoon. They are preparing for the weekend match which sees the U16 PNG team take on the U16 New South Wales Academy, while PNG PMs 13 take on Australia.
After the PNG under 16 training session, coach Dennis Miall said the team has a good mixture of boys from different confederates, and have been getting along well.
He says the New South Wales side will be much bigger, and they will try to strategize a way to counter for that. Over to the PM’s 13 team, the boys had an intense training session where more defensive work was done.
Coach Michael Marum says the match this weekend will be difficult, with Mal Meninga naming a strong Australian team. He said preparations this week will be intense.
