Papua New Guinea and Australia Prime Minister’s XIII Coaches and Captains

Coaches and captains of both Australian men’s and women’s Prime Minister’s XIII teams will join their Papua New Guinea (PNG) counterparts for a media call this afternoon (October 4, 2018), ahead of matches on Saturday 6 October, to be played at the Oil Search National Football Stadium.

The coaches and captains media call for both men’s and women’s teams will be held at the Stanley Hotel & Suites, Sir John Guise Drive, Waigani NCD at 3 pm.

  • Papua New Guinea Prime Minister’s XIII men’s coach: Michael Marum;
  • Papua New Guinea Prime Minister’s XIII men’s captain: David Mead;
  • Papua New Guinea Prime Minister’s XIII women’s coach: David Westley;
  • Papua New Guinea Prime Minister’s XIII women’s captain: Carol Humeu
  • Australian Prime Minister’s XIII men’s coach: Mal Meninga
  • Australian Prime Minister’s XIII men’s captain: Daly Cherry-Evans
  • Australian Prime Minister’s XIII women’s coach: Brad Donald
  • Australian Prime Minister’s XIII women’s captain: Rebecca Young

Meanwhile, on a media report in September, Australian PM’s XIII men’s coach Mal Meninga said “Playing in Papua New Guinea is a privilege, as there really is nothing like it anywhere in the world.”

The Prime Ministers’ XIII matches kicks off at 4.30pm on Saturday, October 6 at the Oil Search National Football Stadium in Port Moresby.
