Multinational Corporations Warned

Chairman oPNG Anti-Corruption Task-Force Sweep, Sam Koim, has warned multinational corporations operating in PNG not to prey onthe innocent population.

He said this in light of reports that senior executives of ZTE, a Chinese telecommunication company, were charged for alleged corrupt behavior relating to funds belonging tothe failed community college project.

 

Koim confirmed that a ZTE’s chief representative forPNG andthe Pacific, was charged for six separate counts bythe Singaporean authorities andthe prosecution case is progressing.

 

Task Force is closely observing and monitoringthe investment and deal-signing spree of multinational corporations, to ensure that no element of corruption exists in those deals.
