The Miss Pacific Islands Pageant PNG contestants, along with the reigning PNG Queen, Grace Nugi, were at St. John’s Anglican Church this morning to begin their week-long activities leading up to the crowning night.
The six young women vying for the title received blessings from the head of the Anglican Church in PNG, Archbishop Clyde Igara.
The week-long activities will include visits to the National Museum, Blood Bank, Special Education Centre, POM Gen Labour Ward and Caritas Technical Secondary School.
The crowning night will be held at the Crowne Plaza Hotel on November 14.
The winner will go on to represent Papua New Guinea at the regional Miss Pacific Islands Pageant in Rarotonga, Cook Islands in December.
