Rubbish, or waste, should be treated with care to minimise pollution and care for the environment.
This was the message by Kreativ Kanaka designer, Leonard Tebegetu, while launching the Trash Monster for the 2016 Klinim Mosbi Campaign today.
Leonard Tebegetu said more can be done to address the amount of waste humans dispose.
He also added that more can be done to create nothing into something for everyday use.
The “Trash Monster” will be part of the Klinim Mosbi Campaign from October 17 to November 13.
Yesterday’s message was the effects of waste, and the responsibility everyone can play in keeping Port Moresby clean.
A major component of the campaign will be the involvement of schools.
This will see the campaign carried out in schools to change the mindset of Papua New Guinea’s next generation to be mindful of waste disposal.
Koki and Eki Vaki Primary Schools were part of yesterday’s program by doing a clean-up at Ela Beach.
Business houses, sponsors and individuals also joined.
