Fiji has maintained their winning run against Samoa thrashing the Pacific Counterparts 20 – 0 at the Oceania Cup.

Coming off heavy defeats from Australia and New Zealand, both teams were eager for a win but Fiji just proved too strong.

Fiji was outstanding throughout, leading at halftime 13 – 0 and extending their lead further in the second while keeping Samoa scoreless.

The men from Fiji will now face off against New Zealand in the final round.

In the women’s match, Australia outclassed Samoa 20 – 0. This was their second loss after receiving a thrashing from New Zealand 31 – 0 earlier.

Despite the disappointing loss, Samoa’s captain Peta Mualia said her team showed improvement from the first match against New Zealand to when they played against Australia, and they will go through their mistakes and come back stronger next time around.
