Divine Word University, in Madang Province, held its 33rd Graduation Ceremony today. Keynote speaker at the graduation was the Japanese Ambassador to Papua New Guinea, Morio Matsutomo.
Up to 756 students graduated with Diplomas, Bachelors and Masters in various courses.
Top students also received their academic excellence award in the various courses. The top student for the Bachelor of Communication Arts, who also received the EM TV award, was 23 year old, Immaculate Foimae, from a mixed parentage of Central and Morobe province.
She was presented the award by EM TV News Producer, Sincha Dimara, while Head of Communication Arts Rohan Vincent looks on.
Immaculate received the EM TV Award, prize money worth K5,000.
The university also graduated students from the other DWU Affiliated colleges like: St Benedicts Teachers College in Wewak, Don Bosco Technological Institute in Port Moresby, Holy Trinity in Mt Hagen, Kabelio OLSH Teachers College and St Mary’s Teachers College in Vunapope, East New Britain Province.
