Dual Tribunal’s Set for MP Gore and MP Awesa

Chief Justice, Sir Salamo Injia, has appointed a Leadership Tribunal to investigate allegations of misconduct in office by two Parliament Ministers.

Sohe MP and Minister for Religion, Youth and Community Development, Delilah Gore, failed to comply with air safety regulations by refusing to switch off her mobile phone inside an aircraft.

While Works and Implementation Minister, and Imbongu MP, Francis Awesa, unlawfully held public property for personal use.

The tribunal consists of Justice Goodwin Poole, and Magistrates Mark Selefkaru and Ernest Wilmont.

The tribunal will commence its inquiry on the 25th of May, 2015 at 9:30 am at the National Court in Waigani.
