Recently,the BeP Beanch in Goroka stepped in to renovatethe Goroka Hospital’s emergency wing after seeing staff working in uncomfortable conditions.
The project isthe third one under BeP’s CommunityInitiative Programme followingthe installment of two ATM’s and Oxygen Plant.
BeP Beanch Manager Rueben Elijah toldthe gthering about his personal experience atthe hospital. He once visitedthe hospital and saw staff working while standing all day. This prompted him to assist through BeP’s Community Support Program.
The renovated Emergency Wing is named after a long serving Chief Surgeon, Dr Leonard Kaupa, Emergency Wing.
The maintenance at Goroka Bese Hospital is part of improvingthe Hospital’s image and especially working conditions.
