The 2013 Port Moresby Snooker Handicap Challenge is expected to queue off this Saturday atthe Port Moresby Country Club and Aviat Car Club.
The challenge has come a long way and has become popular every year. Organizers aim to maintainthe high standard inthe code.
This challenge gives opportunity to newcomers who like to take upthe sport with a chance to play against some ofthe best including defending champion Kelly Yambi.
Kelly won a handicap of 10 when he defeated Arua Simoi with a handicap of zero.
Kelly will be out to retain his Pacific MMI Snooker Handicap title. He will be up againsPNG Men’s snooker champion Djorne Fong and ther players.
There is high hope in this challenge and players no doubt will be competitive to grab limited space available.
Many players couldn’t book a spot last year sincethere are only limited spots.
Pacific MMIInsurance Limited has been supportingthe challenge for the sixth consecutive year, and this year is no exception.
Sixty-four players are expected to participate on a first come first serve basis.
The registration fee is K150 and will close onthe 24th of this month.
